Taleeb Noormohamed is the Member of Parliament for Vancouver Granville, and Chair of the Pacific Caucus of Liberal MPs.
Taleeb has consistently delivered for Vancouver Granville, from funding for affordable housing and community gathering spaces, to support for seniors and families. In Ottawa, Taleeb continues to speak out against all forms of hatred, in the need to fight misinformation, and in building safer communities for all.
Taleeb is a dedicated community and business leader with a track record of success who has built and helped to lead large global technology companies, and advised many others, creating hundreds of jobs in Canada and around the world.
Taleeb was a key member of the leadership team of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, serving as Vice-President for Strategy and Partnerships.
Previously Taleeb was an official in the Government of Canada, first at the Privy Council Office, then as Director of the Review of the Bombing of Air India Flight 182.
Taleeb completed his Undergraduate degree at Princeton, his Masters at Harvard, and attended Oxford University as a Commonwealth Scholar for his doctoral studies.
Taleeb is a Governor of the Confederation Centre of the Arts, and serves on the External Advisory Council of the MacEachen Institute for Progressive Policy. He previously served on the Boards of Covenant House Vancouver and the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
He was awarded the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal and was named to Business in Vancouver’s top 40 under Forty.
